We got a new family addition on Wednesday October 7th her name is Shelby she is 2 yrs old and her birthday is Valentines Day! She is a sweet heart. We got her from my cousin Harold who is dating Carrie she had Shelby from when she was a pup. They knew that we lost Sadie in May and said it was a good fit.
She has been doing really well here. Hudson LOVES her! And she does so good with him. Now that he is crawling around she is the target, he tries to pet her and he is a little rough but she knows he's just a baby so she does good with him patting on her.
In the morning she will go over and greet him puts her paw up to his play pen as if to say Good Morning Hudson! And she will give his little hands and feet a lick.
She hasn't been fixed yet so a month later we got to experience her in heat, she was in a diaper for 16 days. We are looking into having her fixed.
She does so much more than our Sadie did. Shelby is pretty quiet for most part, she will have an occasional bark here and there but that is it. Sadie use to bark when Rob sneezed, anyone came into the house, or the phone rang or the door bell went off. So it is really different not to have a dog barking.
She can get up on to the bed her self and into the truck too. Something else we were not use to. She is a snugger and will let you know when she hasn't had enough attention. :o) We are so happy she is a part of our family.
